Conversation today went as follows…
L - “Dad can I have a treat please?”
K - “I already told you after dinner that you couldn’t have a treat, why are you asking me again?”
L - “Well, I was kinda hoping you’d change your mind.”
K + I both burst out laughing. Of course, lately we’ve been stressing how important it is for the children to listen to us the FIRST time, and not keep asking, but we just couldn’t hold back. Man I love my kids

Talked to my grampa… he’s not doing well. He might have to start on dialysis, and he says all he does it sleep

Loser E is supposed to be out of the house tonight at Midnight. If he’s not out… we’re going in tomorrow/Wednesday (depending on my mom’s work schedule) with guns blazing. Supposedly Loser K (E’s sister), moved in within the last 2 weeks or so to help Loser E pack. So, now we don’t only have a dumbass 33 y/o with no job… no money and could give 2 shits about his 8 year old daughter… we also have another 28 y/o loser who’s living off the government with 2 kids, and a husband there to deal with too. AND… to top it ALL off… neither of them have ANY money, YET… they both have fricken Pit Bull Dogs. SO, it ought to be REAL fun trying to go in there with damn Pit Bulls there too. I’m not looking forward to it one bit. But I’m sure they’ve got reason to have the Pit Bulls there (to keep us out), even though my mother told them NO PETS! I love how people listen… GRRRRR.
On a good note, I have 4 days off after today, so that’ll be nice. I need some ideas for things to do w/ my kids. We’ve exhausted the plain ‘ol playing outside bit. We have a trampoline, swing set, ride on toys, bikes, a huge play gym, sand box, another separate play set w/ a pool at the bottom of the slide… and they’re just tired of being in our yard. I’ve thought about hiking, taking them to various places, etc… but I’m trying to find some crafty/outdoorsy stuff to do around here I guess.

Well… it’s been 10 days (sorry I didn’t realize it had been that long LOL), and nothing super interesting is going on really. I have been a little busy picture wise and also with my “real” job at the hospital. I work again today and have Fri, Sat, Sun off YAY!
Loser E has until midnight on Monday to move out of the apt, and if he doesn’t move out, we’re going to go in ourselves and move him out. I can’t wait for that to happen HEHE. It ought to make for a couple of interesting days anyways. After that, I’ll probably be busy at the apt helping my mom redo things… clean… paint… fix holes (which I’m sure there’s some)… clean… deodorize and did I say clean? LOL My grampa did say that he’ll be glad when Loser E is out of the apt, so that’s a good thing.
Last week my mom brought gramps to the grocery store to get some food and he told my mom he couldn’t buy any because he had no money. GRRR so my mom of course said she was paying for it and he said to her, “Oh, Thank You so much Pammy” as if he thought she was gonna let him go without food. UGH I just wish that side of my family would drop off the face of this Earth. None of them are good for ANYTHING. Well Loser E has done the last of his scrounging cuz he’ll never get another dime from gramps again… nor any of the rest of us.
On a side note… Gramps’ 79th birthday is 7/7. I have a feeling he’s not gonna make it to 80. Any idea what I could get for him that would be meaningful even if just for a little while. Something to make him comfortable would be nice I guess. He can barely stand now his hips hurt him so badly. I wish I had the money, I’d buy him a super comfy couch to lay on while he watches his “programs” on TV.

Aaaah, I feel GOOD! It’s been in the mid 90’s here the past 5-6 days or so. Today we went to my sister’s house (15 min drive) and swam in her inground pool for most of the day. My kids are exhausted and so am I. But, it’s a good exhausted. I feel so refreshed and energized (I know that sounds odd… exhausted and energized). Working out/running/playing sports always makes me feel so much better. My body is gonna hurt tomorrow hehe, but it’ll be a good hurt. Her pool was a whopping 80 degrees today, it was awesome!
Tomorrow, I have pictures in the AM for a friend of mine. It’s a 6 year old boy who wants to wear GI Joe attire. Should be interesting. Of course mom is bringing “regular” clothing as well for his portraits. The camo clothing will most likely be for his invitations to his party (next month).

I took pictures today of a good friend of mine. We’ve been friends since middle school. She lives about 1hr 15min away. This is their first baby, and I’m so excited for them. She’s due mid-August, and is still deciding on a name. At the moment they’re calling her “TK” which I guess means The Kid LOL. Here’s a little teaser pic for ya… there’s a couple more on my website if you really want to be nosey LOL. My dad came up for dinner tonight. We had steaks with a rub, baked potatoes and corn. I made a super yummy dessert (Swirled Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheesecake Bars), but he was tired and left before it was done cooling. The best part of my day today was when I got a phone call from a girl I work with asking me if I wanted tomorrow off. YIPEE… getting tomorrow off will give me a whole week off HEHE. I don’t go back until Friday, Saturday and Sunday . Now I just need to find some fun things to do w/ the kids this week.

We just got back from a great evening out. We went to the next town over for a “Block Dance Party”. They had 6 bands (2 playing at once at opposite sides of the fire station), blocked off a huge chunk of road, lots of food and fireworks. My kids both got in the car and said “I had LOTS of fun tonight”. That’s a first… EVER. Usually they’ll have fun doing something, but not this much fun. S was a dancing fool. The singer of one of the bands must have really liked him because he was singing to him alot of the night LOL. L was psyched cuz she got a balloon kitty made, but it kinda bummed her out when someone popped it on her . They both loved the fireworks, and they asked if we could go back next time they have a party there. We told them if they can behave for the next year, then we’ll take them back (HAHA kidding of course). They weren’t very happy when we told them they only have a block party once a year and suggested we should throw one ourselves… HAR HAR HAR not gonna happen.

Kitty is free from paracites! WAHOO! Well, at least for now it looks as though she’s free of the darn paracites she had. She has to go back in 2 months for a re-check just to be sure they’re gone for good. I was even congratulated because from what I hear, it’s not an easy task to get rid of the suckers. They said I must have done a good job giving her the meds. HEHE (I won’t tell them about the 2 doses of each I wasted trying to get slick w/ the meds LOL)

Another day that irked me. I got a phone call at 1pm from Keith’s niece (yes she’s my niece too, but you’ll see why I said this in a minute).
M: “Can I come and play with Laiken?”
Me: “Sure you can” and she hands the phone to her father.
Ja (Keith’s Brother): “I’ll bring her down, “Ju” needs a nap so if it’s ok with you, I’ll just drop her off”.
Me: “Ok, that’s fine, but I need to go to the store before Volleyball, and I’m leaving around 4/4:30″
Ja: “No problem.” and we hang up
He drops her off, she doesn’t want to play outside (she never does), but I tell them it’s good for them to play outside and they do for about 30 minutes. 4:30 pm rolls around, and no phone call and no Ja. I was planning to just feed my kids out because it would have been easier. So… I start a quick dinner… feed his kid (would not have been a huge deal if I hadn’t already had plans to go to the store). I call him at 5:10…
Me: “I’m leaving in 10 minutes to go to Volleyball, do you mind if I just drop M off at your house?” (they live about 1/4 mile away)
Ja: “Oh, that’d be great” (not sounding surprised AT ALL)
So I keep all of this to myself and drop her off. I tell K about it later on and he’s fuming. His brother drops his kids off here ALL of the time. That, or he brings them to the field behind our house to do something and of course they’re bored so they just show up at our doorstep.
“Ju” who needed a nap turned 4 in April and still there is not an inkling of ANYONE trying to potty train the child. Everyone complains about how bad he smells when he goes in his diaper… but noone does a damn thing to fix the problem. Oh yeah… and he’s still drinking a bottle at his mom’s house too. He pours it, heats it in the microwave and puts the cover on all by himself. Do 4 year olds really still take 2 naps? MY GOD… my children stopped taking ONE nap (early I know) around 2 - 2.5 years.
And… to top it all off (just another additive really), NONE of his nieces or nephews call me Aunt L. I find that slightly disrespectful. I’ve been with K for over 8 years now, yes only married for 2, but it’s not right. His oldest niece is 12, do you think it’d be SO hard for her to add the “Aunt” before my name? GRRRRRRRR, I don’t let my kids do anything of the sort… and it’s not like I joined their lives after they were like 10 or something.
HEHE, I’m just venting really and I already feel better LMAO.

Kitty is taking her medicine half-way decent. I have to sit her on the floor (with pants on HA) in front of me facing away from me and hold her bottom half with my legs and under her mouth with my left hand. Hold the syringe with right hand and insert it in her mouth and slowly squirt. If I didn’t have pants on, I’d get scratched to death, but she IS a little better than day 1. She goes back on Thursday for a re-check to see if the parasite has disappeared.
L’s medicine seems to be working (knock-on-wood) so far. She’s not in school, so she doesn’t have the added stress to “please” while there, so that could be a factor.
We still don’t have the steel-toed boots (we’ve been too busy to go look and see if they have some in stock). He seems to like work, now that things are a little busier. On my days off, he’s getting home much later than before, so that’s rough, but we’ll get through it.
Cousin, Loser E was served with eviction papers a week and a half ago. Which means, he has until this Thursday to get out. My mom was sent a letter by HER lawyer saying that Loser E spoke with him and said he would “voluntarily leave before August 1st”. So, my mom has 2 options. If on Thursday he is not gone, which he won’t be, then she can pay to take him to court (lots of $$). Or, she can wait until August 1st, and if he’s not gone by then, take him to court. She’s going to wait until August 1st, to HOPEFULLY save herself some $$.
My Grampa’s health is staying the same, his PSA is steady (hasn’t risen and hasn’t dropped). I just hope his pain decreases. He’s been taking Tylenol, but doesn’t want to take anything stronger and can’t take Motrin. I’ve been dropping in on him to make sure he’s doing ok, and my mom stopped today to fill his freezer because Loser E came and took most of his food . A few more weeks is all I keep telling myself… just a few more til Loser is gone for good.

Well, I brought Aspen (kitty) to the Vet today. She peed on my couch once last week and again yesterday on her kitty toy. The vet told me she has a parasite that he’s never seen in Massachusetts before. It’s housed in her bladder (unlike most intestinal parisites). He said he HAS seen it in Florida before (odd). So, she’s on a medicine (Fenbendazole) to get rid of the parasite, and an antibiotic (Clavamox) to get rid of the secondary infection in her bladder caused by the parasite. I got to look at the micro-slide , it looked like letter A in the picture. He said the name of it, but I can’t remember. By some thorough research, I’m guessing it’s Pearsonema (Capillaria) plica. There were only 2 urinary/kidney parasites I could find, and the other doesn’t look like this. It ought to be fun trying to give her 2 liquid meds twice a day for the next week before she goes in for another Urinalysis NOT.
