This is sad. It’s January 18th and it’s been so warm, that today was the first day I’ve seen a bird in my feeder. The average temp last year (per my latest electric bill that came yesterday) was 29, this year it was 40. The past few days have been chilly (anywhere from 0 degrees F to 25 or so).

My kids got a PS2 for Christmas from my Mom. They got the Dance Dance Revolution Extreme game along with 2 Blue Shark pads. They were playing it for the first time tonight, and it was a fricken riot! Sawyer’s favorite song is Kick the Can, and although he’s not great at it, he’s a fricken riot to watch LOL.

I’m done wrapping, just in time. Keith has the kids until bedtime tonight, and tomorrow morning will be their Christmas with me. I’m excited, I can’t wait to play with the things they are getting haha. Tomorrow evening we (my sister and her family, my dad, and my brother and his family… and anyone else who would like to join in while we’re walking) are going caroling for the first time ever. It ought to be fun.
I also wanted to say Happy Holidays to everyone! I hope everyone has a pleasant Holiday. If any of you would like to send me some “be happy” vibes for Christmas eve/Christmas day that’d be cool. It won’t be easy, but I’ll survive.

Oh my Lord! L came home from school yesterday and says, “Hey Mom, guess what Cole said to me when I was leaving today.” Of course I’m clueless and tell her so. “He said I was pretty and skinny!” (mind you she has a big shit-eatin’ grin on her face when she tells me this) I gave her a big ‘ol HI-5 and asked her what she said to him in response. “Umm, I didn’t know what to say to him, so I just smiled.” Good response, don’t lead him on, but don’t act too embarrassed HAHA. So then I asked her if he had a crush on her and she got all red in the face and said, “I don’t know, why don’t you ask him yourself!”
HEHE I love childhood crushes, aren’t they the cutest?
Oh yeah… and we’ve all been hit by this NASTY stomach bug that started about 9 days ago… I ended up with it on the weekend… and I’m still not feeling well (it’s now WEDNESDAY… HELLO??? enough already LOL)

Things here have been half-way decent up until Sunday. Both kids have fevers (103-105), nausea, slight sore throats and are starting to get colds as well. I was up at 3:30am this morning with L saying she was going to throw up. Luckily, she didn’t. I called the Doctor’s office just to make sure there wasn’t anything else I could do for them, and they told me “it’s going around” and “be prepared for the fevers to last 5-7 days” and then “they’ll have a full blown cold”. YIPEE!
